Kenai grad Jonah Thiesen makes Division II nationals

Jonah Theisen, a 2015 graduate of Kenai Central High School, qualified for the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships by finishing 13th in the South Central Region Championships on Saturday in Denver.

Theisen, a sophomore at Black Hills State in Spearfish, South Dakota, finished the 10-kilometer course in 32 minutes, 3 seconds, 35 seconds behind the winner. The national meet will be Nov. 19 in St. Leo, Florida.
