Thursday soccer: Colony sweeps Homer

The visiting Homer boys soccer team lost to Colony 2-0 on Thursday in nonconference action.

The Mariners fell to 4-6-2 overall.

In a text message, Homer coach Adam Diaz said his team played hard and a defense, backed by goalie Walden Kraszeski, did a great job. Diaz added that the Knights are one of the best teams around, but that Homer proved it is ready for any challenge.

“The whole team deserves credit for their effort tonight,” Diaz wrote.
