Soldotna’s Brianna Bennett signed a national letter of intent Friday to play soccer at NAIA school York College in York, Nebraska. Bennett’s parents, Don and Jennifer Bennett, were with their daughter at the signing ceremony Friday at SoHi.

Soldotna girls soccer coach Jimmy Love had a statement about the signing at the ceremony: “I am privileged to congratulate Brianna Bennett on signing her letter of intent to play soccer with York College in the fall of 2016. I have had the opportunity to work with Brianna over the past three years and she continues to improve and grow every year.

“Brianna is a dedicated student/athlete and I have no doubt she will be successful on and off the pitch. It is a huge accomplishment that we, the Kenai Peninsula, continue to send quality students/athletes off to play college soccer. Our community is well represented and I am proud and honored to be a part of their success.”
