SoHi JV cagers sweep CIA

The host Soldotna JV basketball teams scored nonconference wins over Cook Inlet Academy on Monday.

In the girls game, Soldotna notched a 47-26 victory to drop the CIA girls to 3-4.

For the Stars, Sadie Lane pumped in 18 points, while Alex Lee had eight, Kaitlyn McAnelly and Morgan Lemm each had six, Mercedes Leadens and Abygale Schaeffer had four, and Regan Hunt had one.

For the Eagles, Hope Hillyer poured in 17, while Tatum Rozak added nine.

In the boys game, the Stars came away with a 68-34 victory. The Eagles are now 3-3.

For the Stars, Derrick Jones had 16, while Will Inman and Hamilton Hunt added 11 apiece. Also for SoHi, Zac Buckbee and Eli Corbet had eight, Blake Inger had seven and Gavin Jones had five.

Ethan Boyd and James Boyd had 12 points apiece to pace the Eagles, while Ian McGarry had five, Jeremy Dillingham had four and Abraham Henderson had one.
