CIA volleyball wins Eagle Invite

The Cook Inlet Academy volleyball team won the Eagle Invite at CIA on Friday and Saturday.

Cordova, CIA and Lumen Christi each won two matches at the tournament, so sets won was used as a tiebreaker. The Eagles captured eight sets, while Cordova won seven and Lumen took six.

In Saturday action, Lumen defeated Ninilchik 25-10, 25-10, 13-25 and 25-10; CIA defeated Ninilchik 25-17, 25-11, 20-25 and 25-19; and Cordova defeated Lumen 25-20, 27-25 and 25-17.

The all-tournament team is Riley Tucker of Ninilchik, Aaliyah Teideman of Cordova, Natalie Gruba of Lumen, Rachel Johnson of CIA, Annika Jensen of Cordova, Emily Ross of Lumen, McKenzie Buhr of Ninilchik, Jade Sharky of Cordova, Hope Hillyer of CIA and Joscelynn Carson of CIA.
