Brackets announced for Southcentral Conference tourney

The brackets have been announced for the Southcentral Conference Tournament, which will be held Thursday through Saturday at Nikiski High School.

On the girls side Thursday, No. 2 seed Nikiski plays No. 7 Redington at 6 p.m., No. 3 Grace Christian plays No. 6 Homer at 3 p.m. and No. 4 Houston plays No. 5 Seward at noon. Anchorage Christian Schools is the top seed, gets a bye, and plays the Seward-Houston winner Friday in a 6 p.m. semifinal.

On the boys side Thursday, No. 6 Nikiski plays No. 3 Houston at 7:30 p.m., No. 5 Seward plays No. 4 Homer at 1:30 p.m. and No. 7 Redington plays No. 2 ACS at 4:30 p.m. Grace is the top seed and gets the Seward-Homer winner in a Friday semifinal at 4:30 p.m.
