Skyview grad O’Guinn captures 3rd in 1,500 at Division II meet

Ivy O’Guinn, a graduate of Skyview High School, finished third in the 1,500 meters Saturday at the 2014 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Allendale, Mich.

In her final meet, University of Alaska Anchorage’s O’Guinn posted her best finish at an NCAA meet and also earned All-America status for the second time in the 1,500, the first time coming in 2012 after finishing seventh.

O’Guinn ran 4 minutes, 26.70 seconds, while Courtney Anderson of Cal State Stanislaus won at 4:23.33.

O’Guinn was one of five Seawolves to earn All-America honors at the meet.
