Dahl, Aldridge take wins at 3rd week of Chainwreck Cyclocross

Nels Dahl and Morgan Aldridge took victories at the third week of the Chainwreck Cyclocross Series on Thursday at Tsalteshi Trails just outside of Soldotna.

In this cyclocross series, racers compete on a 1.5- to 2-mile course that includes obstacles forcing the riders to dismount and mount the bike. The leader does as many laps as possible in 30 minutes, and nobody starts another lap after the leader finishes.

Dahl won with seven laps in 32 minutes, 39 seconds, while Aldridge was the top woman, and second overall, with seven laps in 32:44.

Also doing seven laps were C.O. Rudstrom in 35:17, Shane Lopez in 36:18 and Jeff Helminiak in 37:08.

Finishing with six laps were Cassie Collins in 34:20, Will Morrow in 35:02, Elias Black in 35:21 and Dan Keck in 37:07.

Completing five laps were Kelly Sederholm at 36:04, Darryl Kincaid at 38:10 and Brennan Keck at 39:14. Tim Keck did four laps at 35:38, while Edmond Keck did four laps at 40:59.

The series continues Thursday, Sept. 28, at Tsalteshi Trails. Registration is at 5:45 p.m., while the race starts at 6:15 p.m. Check Tsalteshi’s Facebook page for the precise location.
