Beeson, Aldridge win 4th Chainwreck Cyclocross Series race

Brian Beeson and Morgan Aldridge won the fourth race of the Chainwreck Cyclocross Series on Thursday at Tsalteshi Trails just outside of Soldotna.

In this cyclocross series, racers compete on a 1.5- to 2-mile course that includes obstacles forcing the riders to dismount and mount the bike. The leader does as many laps as possible in 30 minutes, and nobody starts another lap after the leader finishes.

Beeson finished five laps in 30 minutes, 32 seconds, for the victory, while Nels Dahl was second with five laps in 31:12.

Aldridge was the top woman, and third overall with five laps in 32:37.

Also with five laps were C.O. Rudstrom at 34:35, Shane Lopez at 35:59, Jamie Nelson at 36:59 and Elias Black at 37:45.

Doing four laps were Cassie Collins at 31:10, Will Morrow at 32:43, Jathan Black at 33:14, Dan Keck at 36:13 and Kelly Sederholm at 38:41.

Brennan Keck had three laps in 31:25, while two-lappers were Tim Keck at 24:35, Logan Neilson at 33:00 and Edmond Keck at 33:30.

The fifth race and final race of the series will be Thursday at 6:15 p.m. at the Skyview Middle School trailhead of Tsalteshi Trails. Registration starts at 5:45 p.m.
