Two former players for the Kenai River Brown Bears faced off for the NCAA Division III hockey championship Saturday in Lake Placid, New York.

Trace Strahle, an Anchorage product who played for the Bears in 2009-10, got a 5-1 victory for Wisconsin-Stevens Point over St. Norbert of Wisconsin. Strahle is a junior defenseman for Wisconsin-Stevens Point, which had been the NCAA Division III runners-up the past two seasons.

St. Norbert freshman Tyler Andrews, who played for the Bears for two seasons and served as captain last season, also played in the game. Andrews also is from Anchorage.
