Allie Ostrander, a 2015 graduate of Kenai Central now living in Seattle, finished ninth in the women’s race at the 26-kilometer race at the Mammoth Trail Fest in California on Friday.
Ostrander finished in 2 hours, 27 minutes and 50 seconds in the race, which had about 4,000 feet of elevation gain and loss.
The event is part of the Golden Trail Series, meaning it features some of the top mountain runners in the world.
Judith Wyder, who is from Switzerland, won at 2:18:21.
Ostrander’s sister, Taylor Ostrander Deal, finished 24th in 2:50:31. Deal is a 2012 graduate of Kenai Central.
