Oilers head coach Kevin Griffin has announced Brian Daly as the pitching coach for the 2015 Oilers. Daly is a longtime Independent League pitcher and coach.

Right-handers Matt Allen and Brandon Van Stone, both juniors, have signed with the O’s for the soon-to-start 2015 season. Allen, from Fort Collins, Colorado, attends Colorado Mesa University. Van Stone, from Henderson, Nevada, will be joining the Oilers from Hawaii Pacific University.

When in Anchorage, make plans to visit the Anchorage Museum where the exhibit “Baseball in the Far North” will run from May 1 until Nov. 1. This very interesting exhibit will showcase baseball history in Alaska from the 1800s up through present and will include a section highlighting the part the Alaska Baseball League and the Peninsula Oilers have played in the ever-evolving history of America’s game.

More information may be found at anchoragemuseum.org and for more Peninsula Oilers information go to oilersbaseball.com.
