The Oilers have recently signed a pair of players from Cal Baptist University. Outfielder Brian Ruhm, a redshirt junior from Yucaipa, California, who was a big part of the 2015 Oilers team, will be returning for the 2016 season along with freshman right-handed pitcher Andrew Bash from Palm Desert, California. The duo play for former Oilers head coach Gary Adcock, who is head coach at the Division I school.

The Oilers 2016 official Alaska Baseball League schedule is now posted on the team’s website at www.oilersbaseball.com.

The Oilers have a few paid positions open for the upcoming season. The team is seeking a field maintenance assistant to work with Oilers field maintenance director Karl Ferlin. Hours are flexible and pay will be depending on experience. Also needed is a person (or persons) to play the part of “Scoop,” the Oilers mascot, at Oilers home games. For information on these or other positions both paid and volunteer please call Diana Tice at 283-7133, Ext. 0.
