The Oilers would like to congratulate recipients of scholarships recently awarded at area graduation ceremonies. Kiana Harding of Kenai Central, Chena Litzen of Nikiski and Shane Fielding of Soldotna are wished the best as they go forth on their education path.

The Oilers have had a recent change in the coaching staff and are welcoming Eli Silverman to the team. Silverman is new to on-field coaching but has a strong background in baseball and athletics. Most recently Eli served as manager of facilities and grounds at Louisiana State University and will assist Oilers head coach Kevin Griffin with hitters and defense.

The Oilers players and coaching staff will be arriving in Kenai on the night of June 6 and are still in need of a few more homes for players. If you would like more information on the team’s summer parent program contact Diana Tice at the Oilers office at 283-7133 ext 0.
