Kenai goes 2-0 at Rally in the Vally

The Kenai Central, Soldotna and Homer softball teams opened play at the Rally in the Valley tournament Thursday.

The Kardinals led the area by going 2-0, defeating Wasilla 14-7 and Houston 19-4. Kenai is now 3-1 overall this season.

Soldotna finished 1-2 on the day and is 1-3 overall. The Stars defeated Lathrop 9-7 and lost to West Valley 8-5 and Palmer 7-3.

Homer lost 3-0 to Delta, 11-1 to North Pole and 16-0 to Ketchikan. Homer falls to 4-11 overall.

The tournament continues today and Saturday.
