Homer, Seward face off in cross-country, volleyball

The Homer and Seward cross-country teams opened up the cross-country season with a dual meet Friday in Seward.

Seward’s Maranatha Brueckner won the girls race at 23 minutes, 49 seconds, while Homer’s Eryn Field was second at 24:34. In the boys race, Seward’s Max Pfeiffenberger triumphed in 18:32, while Homer’s Seamus McDonough was second at 19:19.

Homer volleyball sweeps Seward in jamboree

In a Friday volleyball jamboree in Homer, the Mariners defeated Seward by scores of 25-11 and 25-17.
