Former Kenai River Brown Bears defenseman Croix Evingson, of Anchorage, was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in the seventh round of the NHL Draft on Saturday.
Evingson, who was taken 211th overall, played for the Shreveport (Louisiana) Mudbugs this past season. The 6-foot-5, 210-pounder committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at UMass-Lowell.
Evingson appeared in 38 games for the Brown Bears in the 2015-16 season, notching a goal and three assists.
