Letter: Thanks for a great book sale

Thanks for a great book sale

The Friends of the Kenai Library want to thank everyone who made the recent book sale a success. First to everyone who donated books to the sale, thank you for your generous donations; to Mary Jo Joiner and the library staff for collecting those donations and for hosting the sale for the long weekend. Also to Rachel Stone and the Oaken Keg for saving the cardboard flats for us to use to organize the books and to Lee and Dee Cassel at Home Gallery for the loan of their crew, Martin Vandenburgh and George Fleming, and the vehicle to haul books. Their muscle was much appreciated.

Much thanks to Kat Sorensen from the Clarion who wrote a bang-up article for the paper, and to Michael John Straughn who did double duty at the cash box and also purchased 300 books on the break-down day.

And finally, to the tried and true Friends of the Library who dedicated their time to making the sale a success: Margaret Simon, MJ Loveland, Donna Steele, Lee Tanner, Nora Satathite, Harriet Seibert, Barb and Dale Sandahl, Barbara Schmidt, Connie and Craig Jung, Jackie and Don Oberg, Kathy and Cliff Heus, Holly Flynn, Jane Fuerstenau, Eileen Bryson, Barb Christian, Paul Morin, Virginia Walters, Terri Burdick, Marj Wiley, and Jean Taylor.

Our thanks to all who attended the sale. You made it a success.

The Friends of the Kenai Library
