The Ninilchik boys basketball team rolled to a 54-48 Peninsula Conference victory Wednesday night over Nikolaevsk, giving the Wolverines a season sweep over the Warriors.

Led by the 16 points of Pat Brandt. Austin White chipped in 14 points as well, and Dalton Geppert added 12.

Neil Gordeev led Nikolaevsk with 17 points, including four treys. The Warriors hit a total seven 3-pointers.

Ninilchik boosted its conference record to 7-0 and 14-5 overall, while Nikolaevsk dropped to 4-2 and 13-4 overall.

Ninilchik led 24-21 at halftime, but Nikolaevsk came back to tie it up at 32 apiece at the end of the third quarter. However, the visiting team poured in 22 points in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

The Wolverines recorded an important Peninsula Conference win over the Warriors Wednesday night in Nikolaevsk.

Olivia Delgado led the way for Ninilchik with 11 points, as the visitors rallied from a 12-6 first-quarter deficit to outscore Nikolaevsk 12-0 in the second frame and lead by six at halftime.

Only three players managed to score for the Warriors, led by Megan Hickman with 10 points.

Ninilchik led 20-18 heading into the fourth quarter, but outscored Nikolaevsk 11-6 in the final eight minutes to put away the victory.

The win lifted Ninilchik to 5-1 in conference and 10-4 overall, while Nikolaevsk dropped to 5-1 and 11-7 overall.
