The American Legion Post 20 Twins opened their season in Anchorage with a 15-1 victory in five innings over Bartlett on Monday.
Jack Harper started with three hitless, walkless and scoreless innings for the Twins. Tristen Roberts then gave up an unearned run on no hits in two innings.
At the plate, Jett Brophy was 4 for 4 with three runs, while Jacob Joanis was 2 for 3 with two runs. Also, Jayden Stuyvesant had three runs and three RBIs, Jackson Koetitz scored twice, Gavin Peterson had two runs and two RBIs, and Clyde Clemens had two RBIs.
The Twins also started a game with South on Monday and were leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second inning when the game was postponed due to rain. It will be completed at a later date when the two squads are already scheduled to play.
