CIA soccer completes 3-0 trip

The Cook Inlet Academy soccer team improved to 5-0-1 in the Borealis Conference with an undefeated road trip Thursday through Saturday.

Thursday, the Eagles topped Delta behind three goals from Noah Castenholz. Tatum Rozak added a goal for CIA, which had not played Delta in two years.

Friday, the Academy cruised past Nenana 7-1. Ethan Boyd had three goals for CIA, while Rozak and Castenholz each found the back of the net twice.

Saturday, CIA completed the road sweep by taking down Tri-Valley 6-1. Castenholz put in four more goals, while Boyd and Rozak each scored once.

Coach Kenny Leaf said Gavin Liles played well in goal throughout the trip, while Eddie Jackson, the team captain, anchored the back line. Leaf added that Abraham Henderson and Lauren Lamb put in tireless work in the midfield.
