SoHi Pool Schedule

M/W/F Morning Lap 6:30-7:30 a.m.

Sport Calendar – http://www.arbiterlive.com/Teams?entityId=21192 or http://www.asaa365.com/

There are two ways to order a transcript. Each way serves a different purpose.

If you need a transcript sent to a college or NCAA or a similar agency, then you will need to log on to: http://www.parchment.com to order transcripts to be sent. The request is then forwarded to SoHi. After processing, it then goes through cyberspace — rather than the US mail — to get to its destination, which is much faster! ALL transcripts that are headed for NCAA, colleges, etc. have to be processed this way!

FINAL TRANSCRIPTS! A final transcript is one that shows your second semester grades. If you order your transcript when we are in second semester, you will need to make sure you choose “next grading period” when you go on to Parchment… that way your transcript request will wait until the grades are in at the end of the year before it is sent.

Thank you to Brandon and Abigail Huffer who donated and installed new lights last Friday. What a blessing to have lights again. Several of you have mentioned that the flashing safety lights on the road have not been working properly. Last week DOT discovered the timer was off 6-7 minutes and they adjusted this. The lights should now come on at 7:45 a.m. Our “Winter Banquet” last Friday was a success and the students had a great time. Thanks to all who helped setup, chaperon, and cleanup after the event. Pictures will be on our website by tomorrow.

This week we had the following events happened in our gym:

Monday: Middle School Volleyball vs. Nikiski J.V. was a great game and Nikiski J.V. won.

Tuesday: Middle School Volleyball vs. Chapman at 4 p.m. Was followed at 6 p.m. with a varsity boys basketball game vs. Nanwalek.

The Middle School Volleyball time pulled off a win against Chapman. And the Boys Basketball Varsity Team also won in a hard fought game against Nanwalek. A couple of the dedicated boys on the Nanwalek team actually walked 4 miles in deep snow from Port Graham to Nanwalek to be able to join the team. It’s always fun to have them come to CIA to play our team.

Thursday: Middle School Volleyball played against the Ninilchik Middle School Volleyball team and won! Congratulations, Girls Middle School Volleyball team and Coach Amy!

Our varsity boys and girls basketball teams will be participating in the Ninilchik Basketball Tournament Thursday-Saturday.

As this is being reported we only have the results from Thursday. The CIA Lady Eagles won their match against the Nikiski J.V. Lady Bulldogs, and the Varsity Boys Team Eagles also won against Nanwalek at the tournament. Congratulations to both Eagle Teams! The other games will be reported next week. Friday games will be a match up with both Eagle Boys and Girls teams playing against the Ninilchik Wolverines at the Ninilchik Tournament.

The Regional Tournament will be hosted this year by Cook Inlet Academy and will be from March 4-7. We will be hosting several teams and be needing many volunteers. We will be posting the teams and the schedule for this important tournament next week.

We have two students, Eddie Erickson and Scott Lohr, who are currently in Peru on a mission trip with Mr. and Mrs. Teigen. We want to thank all the substitutes who have joined us to cover Mrs. Teigen’s schedule, and also we are praying for safety for them all on this trip, as the Lord leads them in building churches in the remote jungles of Peru. Mrs. Leaf and student, Tatum Rozak are also on a mission trip to Thailand and our prays are with them also.
