Kenai’s Independence Day festivities begin with a parade at 11 a.m.
The parade starts on Fidalgo Avenue, turns left on Willow Street, then right on the Kenai Spur Highway and finishes by the green strip on Main Street Loop.
Midway festivities on the green strip run from noon-4 p.m. and include numerous vendors, a beer garden sponsored by Kassik’s, a Hometown Heroes display, and a Cosplay Costume Contest presented by the Kenai Performers at 2 p.m. The boys and girls bicycle giveaways are at 3 p.m.; must be present to win.
