Blizzard conditions expected for western Kenai Peninsula

A blizzard warning is in effect for the western Kenai Peninsula from midnight to 6 a.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Blizzard conditions are expected, with winds up to 35 mph, causing whiteout conditions. One to four inches of snow is expected.

The worst conditions are expected to occur overnight and will make travel difficult.
