For the sixth year, the Levitt AMP Soldotna Music Series will bring performances to Soldotna Creek Park each Wednesday. The series on Tuesday announced this year’s lineup for 11 weeks of music.
Festivities will kick off on June 4, when the Spirit Daddies are set to headline after an opening performance by The Copper River Band. The music series runs every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with the opener playing from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and then the headliner closing the evening.
Over the following weeks, through Aug. 13, rather than the end of August like in previous years, a variety of artists from the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska, and well beyond will be featured. Kenai Peninsula acts include Hot Mess, who open on June 11; Silas Luke Jones, who opens on July 23, and the Ridgeway Rounders on July 30, among others. Some acts, like dreamcat and H3, are from Alaska more broadly, and groups including the Young Dubliners come from Outside.
On June 4, a color run will kick off the start of the series before The Copper River Band takes the stage. The run will start at the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center at 4:30 p.m., stretching more than 2 miles to Soldotna Creek Park.
