Kenai Performers to host social dance next weekend

The dance will run Saturday, Nov. 11 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Kenai Performers will host their second public social dance next weekend in their theater space down Kalifornsky Beach Road. The dance will run Saturday, Nov. 11 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

According to information provided by the company, live local band White Stone will be performing. The dance is open to all ages, and the company is asking for donations instead of an entry fee — to pay for a recently acquired portable dance floor.

The company asks that smooth-soled dance shoes be worn.

“Come practice your recently acquired Swing Dance moves, meet other dances and generally have a good time,” Jodene McAuliffe wrote in an email.

Any questions about the dance can be directed to kenaiperformers@gmail.com.

For more information about the Kenai Performers and other upcoming productions, visit kenaiperformers.org or facebook.com/kenaiperformers. McAuliffe said in September that the company is looking to host dances regularly.
