The host Seward volleyball team swept Anchorage Christian Schools 25-6, 25-23 and 25-19 on Thursday in Southcentral Conference play.

The Seahawks are now 6-2 in the league and 6-3 overall.

Seward coach Jamie Frederickson said she made some lineup changes to challenge her team, and she was happy with the way the squad came through.

But Frederickson said the player of the match was libero Kimmie Hubbard, who had three aces and two kills.

“All around, she was on point making great digs, talking well with the team and taking control of the back row,” the coach said.

Seward now hosts league leaders Grace Christian Saturday at 1 p.m. Grace Christian defeated Homer 3-0 Thursday in Homer.
