The visiting Soldotna volleyball team defeated Service 25-20, 25-19 and 25-20 on Thursday.
SoHi moves to 8-2 in nontournament play.
“They played really well tonight, they moved well,” Soldotna head coach Luke Baumer said of his squad. “We did a really good job making sure all the offspeed balls were taken and picked up.
“We made sure that we stayed aggressive and capitalized on big moments.”
Morgan Simac had 13 kills and 15 digs for the Stars, while Grayson Henry had 14 digs.
Gracie Altobelli and Cassidy Kruse each had six kills and three blocks, while Kruse also had eight aces.
Baumer said that’s the most aces anybody in the program has had in a few years.
The coach also said the Stars did a great job closing out games by sticking with what had been working to that point.
SoHi stays in Anchorage to play in the West Spiketacular on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 26 and 27.
