Thomason, Aldridge take cyclocross victories

Eric Thomason and Morgan Aldridge captured victories at the third week of the Chainwreck Cyclocross Series on Thursday at Tsalteshi Trails.

In the cyclocross series, racers encounter 1.5- to 2-mile courses that force them to ride around obstacles and dismount and mount the bike at times. The leader does as many laps in possible in about 30 minutes, and after the leader finishes the last lap, nobody starts on a lap.

Thomason did four laps in 28 minutes, 49 seconds, while Aldridge did four laps in 30:22 to also finish fourth overall.
