Soldotna will look to defend its Northern Lights Conference tournament baseball crown Thursday through Saturday at Kosinski Fields in Anchorage.
Though the Stars are the three-time defending Division II state champions, SoHi won the conference title in just one of those years.
The eight-team tournament has three automatic berths to the Division II state tournament up for grabs. The Alaska School Activities Association also gives out three at-large berths to state.
The Stars open Thursday at 1 p.m. against Grace Christian, while Kenai opens Thursday at 10 a.m. against Houston and Homer opens with Kodiak at 1 p.m. Thursday.
