Soldotna Equestrian Association holds 2nd rodeo of season

Event continues Sunday, June 23

The Soldotna Equestrian Association is holding its second rodeo of the season this weekend at the Soldotna Rodeo Grounds in Soldotna.

The first part of the competition was Saturday evening, while the second part of the competition starts Sunday at 1 p.m.

The rodeo Sunday will include Breakaway Roping, Chute Dogging, Mutton Bustin’, Ribbon Roping, the Alaska Stars Drill Team, Team Roping, Rescue Race, Pole Bending, Horsepower Barrel Race and Bull Riding.

The Soldotna Equestrian Association holds each rodeo for a cause. This rodeo is benefiting the Nikiski Shelter of Hope, which is operated by Love INC.

The third and final rodeo for the Soldotna Equestrian Association is the Soldotna Progress Days rodeo on July 27 and 28.
