SoHi swimmers, divers sweep Kodiak Quad

The Soldotna girls and boys swimming and diving teams swept the Kodiak Quad on Friday and Saturday in Kodiak.

Friday, the Soldotna girls won with 78.5 points, while Kodiak was second with 65, Lathrop was third with 11.5 and Hutchinson was fourth with nine.

The SoHi boys won with 86 points, while Kodiak was second with 68, Hutchinson was third with 17 and Lathrop was fourth with nine.

Friday for the SoHi girls, the 200-yard medley relay of Zoe Burns, Charisma Watkins, Heidi Snyder and Jessica Wilcox won at 2 minutes, 11.16 seconds, the 200 freestyle relay of Snyder, Burns, Watkins and Genevieve Sheldon won at 1:57.36 and the 400 freestyle relay was second.

Individually, Snyder was second in the 200 freestyle at 2:12.23, Ariel Wheeler was third in the 200 free at 2:50.67, Watkins won the 200 individual medley at 2:24.52, Burns was fourth in the IM at 2:36.71, Sheldon was third in the 50 free at 33.24, Lily Dawley was fourth in the 50 free at 34.13 and Abriella Werner won diving at 223.25.

Also for the Stars, Snyder was second in the 100 butterfly at 1:11.76, Wilcox was third in the 100 butterfly at 1:21.58, Wilcox tied for second in the 100 free at 1:10.22, Sheldon was fourth in the 100 free at 1:16.73, Karalyn Veihdeffer was sixth in the 100 free at 1:28.40, Burns won the 500 free at 6:15.34, Asia Gross was third in the 100 backstroke at 1:17.97, Wheeler was fifth in the 100 back at 1:30.51, Watkins won the 100 breaststroke at 1:18.02 and Dawley was fourth in the 100 breast at 1:48.00.

Friday for the SoHi boys, the 200 medley relay of Michael Davidson, Derrick Jones, Nikita Monyahan and Benn Abel won at 1:52.67, the 400 free relay of Monyahan, Abel, Davidson and Enoch Frederickson won at 3:42.15 and the 200 free relay was second.

Individually, Monyahan won the 200 free at 1:57.32, Johnathan White was third in the 200 free at 2:18.79, Davidson was second in the 200 IM at 2:20.04, Frederickson was third in the 200 IM at 2:24.87, Patric Wilcox was fourth in the 200 IM at 2:35.84, Aidan Volk-Wall was fifth in the 50 freestyle at 31.26, Brett Haas was sixth in the 50 free at 31.29 and Ben Inman was third in diving at 116.30.

Also for SoHi, Monyahan won the 100 butterfly in 58.05, Abel was second in the 100 free at 55.60, White was fourth in the 100 free at 1:02.62, Davidson was second in the 500 free at 5:56.70, Dwight Brown was third in the 500 free at 6:17.71, Abel won the 100 back at 1:07.88, Brown was second in the 100 back at 1:14.52, Frederickson was second in the 100 breaststroke at 1:11.93, Jones was third in the 100 breast at 1:12.84 and Wilcox was fourth in the 100 breast at 1:22.61.

Saturday, the SoHi girls won with 82 points while Kodiak had 66, Lathrop had 15 and Hutchinson had three. The Stars boys won with 78, while Kodiak had 69, Lathrop had 15 and Hutchinson had 15.

Saturday for the SoHi girls, the 200 free relay of Snyder, Burns, Wilcox and Watkins won at 1:55.71, the 400 free relay of Snyder, Burns, Sheldon and Watkins won at 4:17.09 and the 200 medley relay was second.

Individually, Burns was second in the 200 free at 2:20.56, Sheldon was fourth in the 200 free at 2:51.49, Veihdeffer was fifth in the 100 free at 3:07.03, Wilcox was second in the 200 IM at 2:54.68, Wheeler was fourth in the 200 IM at 3:16.12, Watkins was second in the 50 free at 26.58, Veihdeffer was third in the 50 free at 37.56, Werner won the diving at 209.70 and Asia Gross was second in diving at 143.95.

Also, Burns was second in the 100 butterfly at 1:17.13, Snyder won the 100 free at 59.84, Sheldon was fourth in the 100 free at 1:18.43, Wheeler was sixth in the 100 free at 1:20.21, Watkins won the 500 free at 5:56.78, Dawley was third in the 500 free at 8:07.69, Dawley was third in the 100 back at 1:33.37 and Wilcox was third in the 100 breaststroke at 1:38.47.

Saturday for the SoHi boys, the 200 free relay of Monyahan, Abel, Frederickson and Davidson won at 1:40.27, the 400 free relay of Monyahan, Abel, Frederickson and Davidson won at 3:45.65 and the 200 medley relay was second.

Individually, Wilcox was fifth in the 200 free at 2:30.44, Volk-Wall was sixth in the 200 free at 2:56.04, Abel won the 200 IM at 2:24.89, Dwight Brown was third in the 200 IM at 2:50.77, Monyahan was second in the 50 free at 24.44, Frederickson was fourth in the 50 free at 27.48 and Inman was third in diving at 132.10.

Also, Brown was second in the 100 butterfly at 1:23.49, White was fourth in the 100 fly at 1:25.93, Davidson won the 100 free at 53.49, Gabe Cushman was fifth in the 100 free at 1:15.37, Volk-Wall was sixth in the 100 free at 1:15.51, Frederickson won the 500 free at 5:51.75, Wilcox was second in the 500 free at 6:32.35, Inman was fourth in the 500 free at 7:44.66, Davidson was third in the 100 back at 1:04.34, Monyahan was second in the 100 breast at 1:11.84, Jones was third in the 100 breast at 1:14.53 and Abel was fourth in the 100 breast at 1:17.63.

SoHi hockey won the End of the Road tournament in Homer and the wrestling team gained 20 individual wins.
