The host Soldotna baseball team improved to 6-6 overall with a 17-2 Southcentral Conference victory over Redington in four innings Monday.

Josh Pieh pitched 3 2-3 innings for the Stars, giving up two runs — one earned — and a hit while walking four and striking out four.

Daltyn Deborski recorded the final out after walking a batter.

The Stars banged out 12 hits in the game. Atticus Gibson was 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Andrew Pieh was 2 for 3, Josh Pieh was 2 for 3 with a home run and three RBIs, and Riley Johnson was 2 for 2 with two runs.

Also for the Stars, Jacob Belger had two runs and four RBIs, Deborski had two runs, Gibson had two RBIs and Derrick Jones had three runs.
