Palmer’s Meg Inokuma defended her 100-mile title Friday and Saturday at the Resurrection Pass Ultra Races, lowering the course record she set last year in the process.
Inokuma won at 20 hours, 39 minutes, after running 20:52 last year.
Inokuma also won the 50-miler in 2020 and 2021 and holds the course record at that distance as well.
The 100-mile course starts in Hope, takes the Resurrection Pass trail to Cooper Landing, then returns on the Resurrection Pass trail with a side trip down and up the Devil’s Creek trail.
Inokuma also took the overall win by a wide margin, with Travis Christman-Strawn coming in at 25:41 to lead the men and finish second overall. Christman-Strawn won for the first time at the Resurrection Pass Ultras.
The 100-miler saw 17 finish, with three of the finishes being unofficial.
The 50-miler continued to grow more popular, with 74 finishers. That broke the record of 63 set last year.
It starts in Cooper Landing and goes to Hope on the Resurrection Pass trail, with the side trip on the Devil’s Creek trail.
Micah Templin won the 50-miler at 7:40 for his first win at the Res Pass Ultras. Shauna Severson, who had won the 100-miler in 2016, was second overall and the first woman at 7:58.
