Racing Under the Lights completes circle track season at Twin City Raceway

The Kenai Peninsula Racing Lions – Circle Track Division concluded its season at Twin City Raceway with Racing Under the Lights on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 12 and 13.

The event featured fireworks, a bonfire and a demolition derby, plus racing in seven classes each night.

Winning the features on both nights were Clifford Barney in the Sprints, Clay Petersen in the Late Models, Jake Savely in A Stock and Bryan Barber in Legends.

In Modifieds, Martin Flora won the Friday feature and Clay Petersen won the Saturday feature. In B Stock, Kris Saver won the Friday feature and Jesse Robson won the Saturday feature. In Mini Stocks, Chevelle Flynn won the Friday feature and Jared Hutchings won the Saturday feature.

Since the event marked the end of the racing season, season champions for each class also were crowned.

In A Stock, Jake Savely took first, Jimmie Hale took second and Brock Bass took third.

For the Legends, Brent Roumagoux took first, while Josh Boone was second and Owen Hart was third.

In the Late Models, Clay Petersen was first, while Kevin Powers was second and Jay Irving was third.

In Mini Stock, Jared Hutchings was first, while Kyla Stockman was second and Chevelle Flynn was third.

For Modifieds, Clay Petersen was first, while Jesse Yancy was second and Dustin Bass was third.
