Nikiski netters win Homer Jamboree

The Nikiski volleyball team defeated Kenai Central for the title at the Homer Jamboree on Saturday in Homer.

Nikiski won the title match 21-18, 20-22 and 15-9. The Bulldogs had gained the finals by topping Homer 15-21, 21-13 and 15-9 in the semis, while Kenai defeated Seward 21-12 and 21-17.

In round-robin play earlier Saturday, it was Kenai topping Homer 21-6 and 21-11; Nikiski defeating Homer 21-15 and 21-5; Kenai and Seward splitting, with Seward winning 21-12 and Kenai winning 21-19; Seward topping Homer 22-20 and 21-14; Nikiski topping Seward 21-11 and 21-14; and Kenai splitting with Nikiski, with Nikiski winning 23-21 and Kenai winning 21-19.
