Kardinals swimmers sweep Kenai Quad

The Kenai Central girls and boys swimming and diving teams swept the Kenai Quad on Friday at Kenai Central High School.

The girls scored 138 points to top the 65 of Soldotna, the 37 of Wasilla, the 14 of Homer and the 11 of Seward.

The boys notched 127 points as Wasilla had 81, Soldotna had 72 and Seward had 8.

The Kardinals girls won 10 of 11 events, with Abigail Price and Emma Castimore leading the way by winning two individual events.

Price won the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly, while Castimore won the 500 freestyle and 100 breaststroke.

The Kenai boys won 7 of 12 events, with David Price and Peyton Katzenberger winning two individual events.

Price won the 200 freestyle and 50 freestyle, while Katzenberger won the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke.
