Homer hockey tops Soldotna

The host Homer hockey team defeated Soldotna 10-1 on Tuesday in North Star Conference action.

This is the third time the Mariners defeated Soldotna this season, adding to 10-3 and 11-3 victories. Homer moves to 7-2 in the NSC and 14-4 overall.

Tim Blakely had a hat trick for the Mariners, while Phin Weston had two goals. Aiden Ross, Isaiah Nevak, Tyler Gilliland and Ali McCarron added tallies. For Soldotna, Braxton Urban notched a goal.

Corbin Wirz made 30 saves for the Stars, while Vlase Polutcian had six saves for the Mariners.
