Friday baseball: Wasilla tops Kenai; Palmer beats Homer

The Kenai Central baseball team lost 15-0 to Wasilla in three innings Friday at the Kenai Little League fields in nonconference action.

The Kardinals fall to 6-3 overall.

The Warriors scored five in the first, four in the second and six in the third. Kenai had two hits — from Owen Whicker and Kalani Beddow.

Palmer 22, Homer 5

The visiting Moose erupted for 13 runs in the top of the seventh inning in the Northern Lights Conference win over the Mariners on Friday.

Homer is 1-6 in the league and 1-7 overall.

Errors were costly in the game. Camden Wise worked 6 1-3 innings for Homer and gave up 13 runs on 10 hits, but only four of the runs were earned.

Mylan Johnson was 2 for 3 for the Mariners, while Henry Wedvick was 2 for 3, and Weston Marley had two runs.
