Dubovsky, Raney win Res Pass Ultras

Elizabeth Dubovsky and Miles Raney won the Resurrection Pass Ultra Races on Friday and Saturday.

Dubovsky won the 50-miler in 8 hours, 28 minutes, with Jake Young second, and also the top man, at 8:36. Raney won the 100-miler at 22:43, with Nick Janssen second at 23:07 and Erin McKittrick third, and also the top woman, at 27:25.

The 50-miler starts at the Ressurection Pass trailhead in Cooper Landing on Saturday morning and goes 6 miles down and 6 miles back on the Devil’s Creek trail before continuing to Hope for the full 50 miles. It has about 5,000 feet of elevation gain and loss, according to Strava accounts of various athletes in the race.

The 100-miler starts in Hope on Friday afternoon and follows the 50-mile course to Cooper Landing and back, meaning the elevation gain and loss goes over 10,000 feet.

The 100-miler was in its 19th year, while the 50-miler was in its 26th year.
