Denali Conference awards announced

The Denali Conference football awards have been announced.

Nikiski, which won the conference with a 2-0 record, made off with three major awards, while Seward had two.

Dwyght Mullins was named the Offensive Player of the Year for Nikiski, while Matt Trammell was named Coach of the Year. Nikiski’s Charlie Chamberlain was Lineman of the Year along with Seward’s John Van Buskirk. Seward’s Landen DeRoos was Defensive Player of the Year.

Defensive Player of the Year — Landen DeRoos, Seward.

Co-Lineman of the Year — John Van Buskirk, Seward; Charlie Chamberlain, Nikiski.
