Area volleyball teams pile up experience at West Spiketacular

The Kenai Central volleyball team led the Kenai Peninsula at the West Spiketacular by taking second in the Silver Bracket.

The Kardinals started out play in the bracket by topping Juneau-Douglas 2-1. Kenai then defeated Eagle River 2-0 to move to the championship match.

There, West defeated the Kards 2-0. Since West came back through the playback bracket, the Kardinals got another chance in the if-necessary game, but lost that one as well.

Seward took seventh in the bracket, falling to Eagle River 2-1, then East 2-0.
