The Kenai Peninsula Air Fair showed off planes and helicopters to an eager public on Saturday at the Kenai Municipal Airport.
During the event, held on the runway behind the Kenai Airport Operations Facility further down North Willow Street from the airport itself, children and families could be seen moseying around an array of planes — from private craft to Kenai Aviation’s Tecnam Traveler to a massive cargo plane. Some were available for guided tours of their interiors.
In addition to the aircraft, a group of food trucks filled part of the space and the operations facility was filled with booths and tables offering other information or giveaways. Live music rang out from a stage nearby.
