Connie Green, of Alaska C&C Horse Adventures in Soldotna, has brought a group of horseback riders together to walk in the Kenai Fourth of July Parade, which begins today at 11 a.m. starting at Fidalgo Avenue. The riders will be joined by a variety of other local residents and groups as they march onto Willow Street before turning right on to Kenai Spur Highway and continuing to Main Street Loop.

On Monday, Green practiced at C&C Horse Adventures with the six horses and five riders that will be present for the parade.

“This is the first time for a lot of things for our horses,” Green said. “So, we wanted to practice before we head to town tomorrow. … Practice makes perfect.”
