Soldotna woman found dead in apartment

A Soldotna woman was found dead in her apartment after having been reported missing for more than a week.

Louise Tall-Burgess, 34, was found Tuesday by a property manager who reported it to Alaska State Troopers, wrote Lt. Dane Gilmore, deputy commander of the troopers’ E-detachment, in an email.

“The status of the case is on hold pending the outcome of an autopsy at the State Medical Examiner’s Office,” Gilmore wrote.

Her family has been notified, according to an online trooper dispatch.

Kicking off a month of holiday festivities

Courtesy Harvest On the Kenai Peninsula, a dormant liquefied natural gas export plant could be repurposed to receive cargoes of imported LNG under a plan being studied by Harvest, an affiliate of oil and gas company Hilcorp. The fuel would be transferred from ships to the tanks on the left, still in liquid form, before being converted back into gas and sent into a pipeline.
Utilities say Alaska needs an LNG import terminal. Consumers could end up paying for two.
