Lockwood, Widder tie the not
Gail (Hepner) Lockwood and Kirk Widder were married on July 14, 2016 in Kenai.
The bride is the daughter of George and Delma Hepner of Lawrence, Kansas. She is a graduate of Lawrence High School in Lawrence, and is currently employed at Total Office Products in Soldotna. Lindsey Lockwood of Phoenix, Arizona served as her maid of honor, and Cathy Reyna of Kenai was her bridesmaid.
The groom is the son of Larry and Nancy Widder of Zanesville, Ohio. He is a graduate of Riverview High School in Coshocton, Ohio and served in the United States Air Force. He is employed at the Tesoro refinery. Cliff Price of Sterling was his best man, and Grant Lockwood of Sterling was his groomsman.
The couple resides in Sterling.
Louthan, Morse marry
Kaitlyn Louthan and Collin Morse were married in an evening ceremony on Kenai’s south beach on July 16, 2016. Kevin Dukowitz, uncle of the groom, officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mike and Carol Louthan. She was recently accepted into the University of Alaska Anchorage RN program for fall 2016, and is a Certified Nursing Assistant II. She is employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant II Activities Aide at Central Peninsula Hospital Heritage Place.
The bride wore a dress with an embroidered floral design, beading throughout the dress, and a sweetheart neckline. Her bouquet included sunflowers, white roses, yellow gerber daisies with some babies breath. Sister of the bride Kristi Louthn was the maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Caitlin Steinbeck, Sarah Bressler, and sister of the groom Kylie Morse. Grandmothers of the groom Carlyn Dukowitz and Carolyn Morse were excited to be part of the wedding as flower girls.
The groom is the son of Kevin and Caroline Morse. He earned a Process Technology degree from Kenai Peninsula College, and Technician II Forestry Fire Fighter. He is employed as a Technician II Forestry Fire Fighter.
The groom wore a black tux with butter yellow vest and tie. Joe Bressler was his best man, and Kris Morse was a groomsman.
The ceremony was on the Kenai beach with Redoubt Mountain in the background. Even though fishing season had started on the Kenai for dipnetting, no fishermen or women came riding by during the ceremony. The bride joked that after the ceremony, she might hike up her dress and go fishing if the fish were jumping!
The wedding cake, made by the groom’s aunt, Denise Dukowitz, was a pineapple carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. She also made a hundred gourmet cupcakes for guests of all different flavors.
The bride and groom would like to thank their family and friends for all the love and support they received during the entire wedding planning process. They have been together since high school (over 7 years!) and both felt absolutely blessed on their wedding day. They would like to say if you have fallen in love with your middle school crush, it could just be the one. Marry your best friend, and love will always win.
