Poet’s Corner: Nobody but you

Nobody But You

Bill Lowe, Sterling

Offering hope, assurance and truth to cling to,

You cared about us before we ever knew you.

Nobody but You God loves quite as you do!

Standing close, offering compassionate care,

You give us peace through whispered prayer.

Nobody but You Lord will always be there!

Willingly taking on human shame and debris,

You forever nailed our sins to Calvary’s tree.

Nobody but You gave His life unconditionally!

Stretching out your arms, as if to embrace,

You hung on a cross taking our rightful place.

Nobody but You Jesus gave unmerited grace!

Because believing one sinner worthy to save,

You rose in three days conquering the grave.

Nobody but You would give all that you gave!

You arose from the tomb defeating all sin.

You are still King and you’re coming again.

Nobody but You Lord; death could not win!
