Unofficial results of Tuesday’s run-off election for Kenai Peninsula Borough mayor show Charlie Pierce with a substantial lead.

With 25 of the borough’s 28 precincts reporting, Pierce had garnered 53.6 percent of the vote to 46.4 percent for his opponent, Linda Farnsworth Hutchings.
