Man arrested after crashing vehicle discovered to be stolen

A collision with a moose on the way to school Thursday morning left a school bus driver and 24 students unhurt.

Kasilof resident Elizabeth Chase was driving a school bus with 24 kids aboard north around mile 100 of the Sterling Highway, just south of Soldotna, around 7:04 a.m. when a moose ran into the side door of the bus, according to an online Alaska State Trooper dispatch.

No one on board was hurt, according to the dispatch.
