Kenai volleyball outlasts Palmer in 5 sets in homecoming match

The Kenai Central volleyball team remains very hard to beat on its home floor.

The Class 3A Kardinals topped Class 4A Palmer 20-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-12 and 17-15 on Tuesday in nonconference action.

Since Sept. 10, 2019, Kenai has lost just once on its home floor. That defeat came in September last season to Wasilla. The Kardinals were on their way to winning a second-straight Class 3A crown, while the Warriors cruised to the Class 4A crown.

Kenai went to 4-0 in nontournament play by coming all the way back from two games down.
